What an exciting time to be a student in the Mark West Union School District! Along with our new Mark West Charter School for seventh and eighth graders, parents may choose to educate their children at home through the Mark West Home Study Program. Families with children in kindergarten through eighth grade are welcome to register in this excellent program. Our Home Study program includes the option of attending school once a week. Our Day on Campus is popular with our students for including fun interactive ways to learn the more difficult subjects to be taught at home. The Home Study Teachers are fully trained on the California State Standards and knowledgeable in the areas of curriculum and instructional strategies to best support student learning. Our children also receive instruction from specialists in Foreign Language (Spanish), Music, Science, Art, Chorus and project-based learning. Another unique component of our Home Study Program is where seventh and eighth grade Home Study students are invited to participate with the Mark West Charter School by attending electives in the afternoon including Drama, Art, Spanish and Technology.
